He’s not only a new member of our staff, but he’s also assumed the critical role of Medical Director. A physician with decades of experience in a wide range of practice, Dr. Danesh will provide oversight and practical support for all treatment activities at Honu House, including:
- All aspects of detox and withdrawal, including but not limited to medication, medical monitoring, and safety.
- Medical evaluation of intake and admissions information, such as individual medical history and family medical history.
- Complete assessment of current medical issues and current medication that may affect treatment.
- Prescription medication
- Management of psychiatric medication during treatment

- Received an undergraduate degree (BS) in Marine Biology from UCLA.
- Completed a medical degree (MD) at UC Davis.
